Quick Start Guide
Get your family learning in 5 minutes. This guide gets your first lesson done FAST.
What is Sollingo?
Sollingo is a family-oriented language learning platform. Kids complete lessons in 5 languages, earn hearts and XP, and turn that progress into real rewards — TV time, chore-earned hearts, and a virtual wallet — while parents track everything from a dashboard.
Step 1: Sign Up (1 minute)
- Visit Sollingo
- Click “Sign Up” and create an account with Clerk (email, Google, or another supported provider)
- Done! You’re in.
There’s no credit card required to start — the core learning experience is free.
Step 2: Select Your Course (1 minute)
- Go to the Courses page
- Pick a language: Spanish, French, Italian, Croatian, or Japanese
- Click on the flag to make it your active course
Your active course is highlighted, and you can switch languages at any time from the Courses page.
Step 3: Complete Your First Lesson (3 minutes)
- From the Learn page, click the first available lesson node in Unit 1
- Answer each challenge — most are multiple-choice or “select the matching pair”
- Watch your hearts and XP update as you go
What happens next:
- A correct streak keeps your hearts full and stacks XP
- A wrong answer costs a heart (run out, and you’ll need to wait, use gems, or upgrade to Pro for unlimited hearts)
- Finishing the lesson shows a results card with XP earned and adds you to the leaderboard
Understanding the Basics
| Concept | What it means |
|---|---|
| Hearts | Your “lives” for a lesson. Lose one per wrong answer. |
| XP | Experience points earned per completed lesson — drives the leaderboard. |
| Streaks | Consecutive days of completed lessons. |
| Quests | Daily/weekly goals that reward extra XP or hearts. |
| TV Time | Minutes earned from lesson performance, tracked per child. |
| Chores | Household tasks a parent can set up that reward hearts when approved. |

💡 Family Setup: If you’re a parent, create your own account first, then link your children from the Parent Dashboard — see Getting Started.
💡 Out of Hearts: You can wait for hearts to refill, spend earned gems in the Shop, or upgrade to Pro for unlimited hearts.
💡 Multiple Children: Each child gets their own account and progress; the Parent Dashboard shows all linked children in one place.
