Your Data Stays in Your Google Account
Pilotflow by Zippy runs entirely as a Google Apps Script — meaning every line of code executes inside Google’s own infrastructure, not on external servers. Here is exactly what that means for you:
| What we access | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Email metadata (sender, subject, labels) | To match your Action Pack rules | Inside your Gmail — never sent to us |
| Gmail labels | To create and apply labels you configure | Your Gmail account |
| Google Sheets (optional) | Processing log | A spreadsheet in your Google Drive |
| Script triggers | To run Action Packs on a schedule | Google Apps Script — no external cron |
We have no database of your emails. We cannot access your account without the OAuth token you explicitly grant — and you can revoke it at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
The app is closed-source. This means the code is not publicly viewable — but it does not affect safety. All data boundaries are enforced by Google’s own OAuth 2.0 system, not by us. No external server ever receives your email.
Why Aren’t We on the Google Workspace Marketplace Yet?
Short answer: we are working on it. The Google Marketplace approval process requires a formal OAuth verification review. We are preparing the submission.
In the meantime, you can install Pilotflow by Zippy directly:
- The same Google OAuth consent screen appears, showing exactly what is requested
- Only invited users can authorise the app during the testing phase
- Your data is protected by the same Google security model as any Marketplace app
The “unverified app” warning from Google means “Google has not yet reviewed this developer” — not “this app is malicious”. Once our Marketplace submission is approved, the warning disappears.
